Dave Urso was educated at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Conflict Resolution and a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology. He has a great deal of experience in student affairs, having worked in offices of student success and residence life as well as working with a college athletic program. Dave’s mentality of innovation is evident in his chartering of three clubs during his time as a student at JMU, and through (or “in”) his serving as the proponent for new programs as an administrator at both JMU and Lord Fairfax Community College.Dave is very humbled to have received the Dr. Ronald Carrier Award for Exemplary Student Leadership upon his graduation from JMU in addition to being named the 2005 Outstanding Professional of the Year at a Two-Year Institution by the Virginia Association of Student Personnel Administrators.
