Life-Coaching
Life-Coaching involves working in a one-on-one relationship with Dave. Participants will begin the process by completing a short series of introspective assignments that challenge them to discover their unique leadership style. After this, Dave and the client work together to determine the direction in which the project will move. It is important to note that this opportunity is called life-coaching and not leadership-coaching. Although much of what is discussed and discovered will tie directly back to the leadership style of the individual participant, some of the progress is made by taking a look at what is happening in that person’s broader life. The benefit of this is that throughout and at the end of the coaching (which occurs at a time determined by the participant) those same broad areas will reap the benefits of the participant’s hard work.
Organizational Leadership
Organizational Leadership Consulting can be done in a one-on-one arrangement or can take place between Dave and a group of individuals within your organization. This type of consulting is used to focus on one to three specific issues within an organization that need real-time coaching and feedback. In these situations, Dave works with the client(s) to redefine the issue through several perspectives, brainstorm options to address the issue, and map out a plan to effectively move forward. The last step of this process involves designing and preparing to implement an assessment plan to gauge the success of the project. This type of consulting is far more intense and takes place over a much shorter period of time. However, participants in this type of consulting benefit from participation in this process in many ways. Some of these include finding or evaluating the current solution to a problem, learning how to explore additional options for looking at problems, addressing strengths and weaknesses in their own leadership style, and learning how to effectively coach those that work for and with them through a similar process in the future.
