Teamwork Workshop

Teamwork Workshop

This set of workshops addresses successful endeavors in the team environment. This area includes the sessions “Embracing the Opportunity to Lead” which works with the 7 Simple Steps for Effective Team Leadership and “The Dr. Seuss Guide to Groups” which utilizes childhood games as a source of stress relief and teamwork-oriented education.

Being a Part of Something Larger

This workshop is intended for the teams that want to develop their ability to recognize both themselves and their teams as just a piece of a much larger picture. Heavy emphasis is placed on finding a vision for the team and understanding how effectively playing our individual roles impacts the overall success of the team.

Conflict Resolution

Too often we get caught up in the heat of the moment, and minor scuffles turn into huge blowouts. This workshop is great as both a proactive prevention technique and a reactive reflection workshop. Approaching conflict is addressed with a new theory that promotes coming at things from a collective resolution approach.

Dealing with Difficult People

Can you name the difficult people in your life? Can you name the people whose lives you are a difficult person in? Either way, the humor and directness of this workshop works to help alleviate the frustration of dealing with difficult people as well as arming you with the tools necessary to turn those encounters into win-win.

Effective Brainstorming

These workshops are designed for the teams that are stuck in the “top-down” style of thinking and that are struggling to be creative in designing innovations to promote team success. Actively practicing brainstorming over a variety of topics helps prepare participants to think in a broader way. The workshop also aims to help people how to find their own voice and share their ideas in an environment that does not actively seek out such behavior.

Ethics

Appropriate ethics is becoming harder and harder to define as we watch segments of our society fall apart in front of our eyes. In a world where the norm is quickly becoming, “It’s not wrong if you don’t get caught,” this workshop focuses on the importance of living your own life with integrity as a way of setting an example for others.

Group Advising

This program is designed to help group advisors. Working with groups that have their own leadership can be quite exhilarating. But, problems can loom on the horizon if the advisor is either OVER-involved or UNDER-involved. This workshop is designed to distinguish the qualities of an advisor from those of a supervisor.

Hosting Organizational Retreats

Organizational retreats can have some of the most impact-filled moments spent together as a team. The potential for these events is captured through the planning of those put “in charge” of the event. This workshop is for sharing tips and techniques for successfully building these events to be as successful as possible.

Making Meetings Work

If you have ever sat in a meeting and thought, “Why am I here?” or “I have 400 ways I could be better using my time…” then this workshop is for you and your supervisor. Emphasizing using time and resources effectively and making the most of the energy of everyone in the room, this workshop promises tips and techniques that can be utilized immediately to begin making a difference.

Teamwork Success Skills

We are all members of some team. This broad and general workshop is designed to push all involved parties in the direction of success by developing expectations and responsibilities that everyone understands and can buy into.
